This functional unit handles refurbishment of CT scanners & mammography equipment, following industry’s best practices and is controlled by very stringent procedures.

The equipment, when finally certified by the QA team, adds to the “Value for Money solutions” offered by CURA.

The Quality Assurance process that equipments undergo can be listed as below:

• The equipment is selected in accordance with the prescribed specifications.
• The equipment is disinfected before it is brought inside the shop floor.
• Physical examination and thorough cleaning is carried out before the equipment enters the refurbishment bay.
• Inventory is taken and the works schedule is laid out.
• The equipment is powered up.
• Electrical as well as mechanical functionality is tested.
• Components are checked for functionality and any component functioning below their prescribed standards is replaced.
• Complete make-over including aesthetic uplifting, repainting of the exteriors is an integral part of the process.
• As the first phase of QA approval, the equipment is calibrated.
• In-depth functional tests are carried out.
• With the completion of the QA tests, the equipment is certified for functionality.
• The logistics team then moves the equipment to the customers’ site, with all precautions and safe transit modes.
